2012 A Fresh Start!!

17 Days into the new year and I've hit the ground running!!! Technically I'm not "back" untill after the 23rd but who can resist the smell of fresh resin???

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday season! Our was just wonderful and seriously busy!!

I've re-opened the ordering for standard hand cast Alexis Rose a week early as my newest prototype is heading to Korea next week (Lily Rose) she a longer legged, slim hipped, smaller busted version of Alexis - a little more willowy actually :)

I'll update the FB page when I can as I really should be enjoying my last few days away!!

Great to be back!! And here's to a great year ahead!!

One should never drill when in a hurry is my new mantra!!

Its been about 10 days now and I finally have use of my left hand back but OMG it was an ouchy.....

This was taken after I got the stitches out - it was a mess!!! While drilling a calf piece the bit (3/8 sized) pierced through the side and into my finger and palm, a panicked one-handed drive to the medical centre and several stitches later and I was bandaged from finger tip to wrist. It certainly threw the brakes on everything but fortunately I was on schedule so a small delay wasnt going to create too much havoc!!

Thanks to my DoA and The Joint friends for giving me a thorough reprimand for injuring myself - it meant so much to me to get your "cyber yells" LOL

We're down to just one doll to ship which is going out of Thursday and then I'm on a dolly working hiatus with my "other job" until July 1st.

The first Alexis Rose made it home to the UK this week - the Chilean Ash cloud saw her delayed in Sydney for over a week so I was very glad to hear she'd made it safely home!!

Until I update next - keep your drills and hands to yourself!!!

What a wonderful welcome Alexis Rose has had!! Two prototypes have been mailed out to a pair of dolly dressmakers who I have been told are very busy conjuring up some wonderful limited outfits for our girls, patterns will be available for direct downloading within a few weeks!!! Just in time for the first Alexis Roses to be arriving at their new home!!

With only 11 days left on the ordering period there are just 5 dolls remaining - the ordering period will close on the 5th of June as scheduled and then it gets REALLY busy here getting orders out the door to their new homes!!

The Layby order form had been playing up for a few days - thanks for your patience while that was sorted out!!

Special thanks to Marcia at Facets Wig Shop for getting replacement wigs in the mail to me so fast - she's a GEM!! they should be here in a couple of days so the first round of orders can go home!!

And last but not least - I became an Aunty for the first time on the first of June, so a VERY special welcome and well done to my newest family member!!

New Colors....

I know its a little unorthodox to release two new colours ha;f way through a pre-order period - buuut I just had to!!! The colour samples are just too delicious to keep to myself!!

The first Ebony Alexis Rose was ordered today - I've already begun production of the first 7 - I am heading overseas from the 25th-ish of June to the 14th of July for work and want to be sure that everyone's dollies are ready for dispatch before I go or as soon as I get home....

I placed a pre-order for Alexis up on ebay this week also - unfortunately Ebay do not have our local charity listed as a donation option so we've not included it in the listing - The winning bidder will get a receipt in the mail though from the Premiers Flood Appeal for $100 - we're helping to raise funds to assist those who have lost their homes in the recent spate of floods and cyclones out state has endured the last 6 months....

Alexis Rose #3 and #4 go home next week, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of their default lingerie - the EMS tracking indicates I should have it in my hot little hands tomorrow!!! How splendid!!

What a marvelous introduction she's had and I've enjoyed the feedback both for and against dolls with large posteriors.... XD

I look forwards to seeing your "box opening" pictures!!

Well,

Finally the website is up and running correctly!! Despite tonights debacle with accidentally engaging daylight savings times on the site the shopping cart came on-line without a hitch albeit over an hour and a half later than expected!!

I am heading to bed for a well earned "coma"

Thanks everyone for their support and enthusiasm when I was sure mine was running dry!!

Alexis Rose - The Making of

Hello my friends and welcome back to my blog ;)

As requested I have uploaded numerous images of Alexis Rose as she came to life in my studio. Scultping a doll is fraught with danger *jokes* however I have earned a few new scars and war-wounds throughout the process.

Alexis Rose stands 38.5 cm tall in flat feet and 40.5 in her heeled feet. Buxom and Bootyliscious - this lady is all about dangerous curves and feminine wiles.... She is able to wear readily available Mini or Unoa sized shoes and heels and is currently trying on everything we have on loan from the Dollmore wardrobe department to establish what mainstream outfits are her friend.....

Without further ado.... My last three years of blood (yes blood) sweat and lots of tears....

So you think you arent ready for the new year and before you know it, its March 8th...... WTH just happened?

I'm busy busy working on my mini sculpt Alexis Rose - after a fight with her knees we've made up and again progressing nicely!!

Barnes Products gave me a courtesey call to notify me my fave silicone was 30% this month...... did I buy some... YOU BET!! 5 Kilos of the stuff - so now we're all set to mother mold Alexis....

I'm still waiting on Hirondelle studios to get back to me with a price for the French Resin..... Despite some aversions to it from the wider public - I love it way to much to be detered by the threat of BANANAS!!!! besdies it looks nicer yellow than classic CP green *snigger*

Oh - and before I forget - the Puki fishies ARE still coming I'm waiting on some technical support from GuyLouis13 in the USA re my odd casting techniques ;)

Anyways..... yacking isnt working so I'll sign off here and I WILL be back sooner rather than later

When you will it to rain the sun will shine gaily and when you have a VERY close deadline on a project that requires 0% humidity it will rain until you require an ark and an army of animals!!!!

Such is life...... So I was very very excited to place an order for my very own "Inkling" -courtesy of Aimee at Seed Dolls, get in quick though as the pre-order closes on the 3rd of December!! I also have a OOAK hand-cast coming home as we speak so I am very excited.

Good news this week include: All orders are complete and shipped and I am having some time-out!!

Also making headlines in the Wish-Art camp/studio I have finally and ultimately finished the long-awaited face of my 45cm Alexis- its been a 2 year fight to the finish-line but I have arrived and I refuse to touch it or even look at it until the Christmas festivities are over!!

I wont be able to remotely update my blog or web-page until I return from my trip in January - so you will just have to survive without my atrocious humour :)

Drama Drama Drama.....

I know I am terribly un-exciting and haven't written in AGES - but let me tell you its been a fanatic couple of months!!

Work on Alexis and the Pocket Rocks continues slowly -I have entered into correspondance with several companies interested in casting the basic NS and WS dolls for me the only issue is numbers - I cant stand the thoughof having to have 100 dolls made - where is the exclusivity in that? BORING LOL so we're re-negotiating prices on smaller amounts to make each of them a little bit special :)

My Children continue to keep me on my toes and the weather as always is never compliant on days when I need to be spraying MSC or putting anything in the pressure pot - anyone in the industry will tell you that pressurised air results in a LOT of moisture, and moisture is NOT good especially with 90%+ humidity.....

So I will lament elsewhere and get back to trimming some tails. My Elusive PukiFee PongPong has still yet to be seen - he was supposed to be here a little over a week ago so I havent send Fairyland a Heave-Ho..... yet.... I have 20 tails all lined up on my desk looking adorable... and yet no-one to photograph them on?!

Back and hard at it!!!

Hey Hey everyone - we're back home and hit the ground running. In my absence lots of lovely supplies arrived and our much needed replacement boxes are here now so we are able to finally get our back-log of orders shipped out next week. A big sorry to everyone who had to wait and thank you for your patience!!

The Pukifee tail is still a WIP - I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a PukiFee PongPong - as soon as he roll sup the pictures will be up and the tails will be for sale at $56 for the basic tail - we're also casting some really fun transparent accessories for our fishy-friends.... I feel the need for a dolly meet to guinea pig someone's dolls again :)

Well less-chatter more-work!!
